BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Good questions.
Better fit.
Room to rest, stability, assembly and care—what to check before finding their next favorite spot.
How do I know if a cat tree is roomy enough for my cat?
Start with your cat’s weight and body length, then compare those measurements with the usable width and depth of perches, resting areas and entrances. Consider how your cat likes to stretch, turn and sleep. A “large cat” label alone is not a substitute for checking the dimensions of the specific product.
What should I look for in a stable cat tree for a bigger cat?
Look beyond overall height. Base footprint, post construction, connection points, platform support and the product’s stated weight guidance all matter. Follow the assembly and anchoring instructions for the specific model, and consider your cat’s jumping habits and the floor where the tree will stand.
Can one cat tree work for two or more large cats?
Look for separate, usable resting places and comfortable routes between levels. Check each model’s platform dimensions, weight recommendations and any guidance for multi-cat use. Suitability depends on your cats’ sizes, combined activity and how they share space—not every design is intended for multiple large cats at once.
